Terms and Conditions

The German version governs

These Terms and Conditions govern paid featured placements and premium profiles on schweinfurt-firmen.de and are offered exclusively to businesses (B2B), not to consumers. The German-language „Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen" (AGB) is the legally binding version of these terms; this English page is a non-binding summary provided for your convenience. In the event of any discrepancy between the two, the German version prevails.

What is a featured placement?

A featured placement is a paid, clearly labelled ("Anzeige"/"Ad") highlighted listing of a company on the homepage of schweinfurt-firmen.de, within the category page matching the company's primary category, or on the page for the town where the company's listing is actually located — both the category and the town (with its pricing tier) are determined by the listing itself, not chosen by the customer, and a town only carries featured placements once it has enough published listings of its own. A category placement additionally appears above the results of a search query on the search page (/suche) whenever that query unambiguously names exactly that one category; where a query names no category, several, or a different one, it does not appear there. That additional display comes out of the booked category slot and stays within the cap on category slots — it is neither an extra slot nor an extra charge — and it leaves the order of the search results themselves unaffected (see /rangfolge, the ranking-transparency page). Placements are booked for a fixed term of 30, 90 or 180 days and paid for via Stripe. The number of placements available at any one time is limited. Placements do not renew automatically, carry no guarantee of a specific number of impressions, clicks or leads, and — because these terms apply only to business customers — carry no statutory consumer right of withdrawal. Refunds for early termination are at the operator's discretion rather than a matter of right. Customers may also book a "Premium-Profil": a paid content upgrade (photo gallery, services list, extended description, an accent colour and video) added to the customer's own profile page, for a fixed term of 90 or 180 days. It is not a featured placement and is not labelled "Anzeige"/"Ad" — it occupies no separate slot or sort position in the directory and has no effect on ranking, ordering or visibility in any list (see the ranking-transparency page, /rangfolge, for the full disclosure); it only adds content to the listing's own, unchanged place in the directory. Like a featured placement, it requires an existing published listing. Customers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content they provide, grant the operator the rights needed to display it, and must indemnify the operator against third-party claims arising from it; submitted content is reviewed before publication, and neither review times nor rejected content extend the booked term. Display requires that the company's listing stays published and — for town placements — that the town keeps its minimum number of published listings; if a town temporarily drops below that minimum, the affected placement is extended by the affected days as the exclusive remedy. The operator may suspend or end placements over legal or terms violations and reversed payments, may decline or cancel orders before the term starts against a full refund, and limits its liability to the extent customary under German law (unlimited for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health). For the full terms, see the German AGB above.
